Sonic - like the rockstar that shitted itself on stage

If you been playing video games, I'm sure you remember the used to be head to head rival of Mario. Sonic the Blue hedgehog. Remember how awesome he was? Yeah he was is the key.


Now the current generation Sonic games is like ass and saying that is like giving the Sonic game some grace it doesn't even deserve.

Of course I'm the kind not to just bash without reason. I believe if we want to bash a game we should totally take out the areas that made it so bad and skewer the motherfucking shit out of the game. *ahem anyways lets begin.

I think what can already established is that none of the sonic games currently even plays remotely like the old ones. It seems like the sonic team has lost track of what sonic is and what makes a sonic game a sonic game even. It like designing game in total darkness and throwing stuff together thinking this is a sonic game.

The word here we are looking for is consistency. Which none of the sonic games now have, we even have sonic games barely even featuring the blue bugger or the ones that game him a suit of armor or even guns.

If you look at series like Megaman or Megaman X, you say that the game is mostly the same which again is true. The creator of the series are well aware how what makes a Megaman game a Megaman game. The "mans", getting the powers of the bosses he beats, Dr willy etc. That has remain consistent throughout all the series. Even the arcade counterparts.

That would with most of castlevania. Even with the new ones on DS which does not feature whipping weilding protagonist. The game has been always been medival theme settings, monsters and the difficulty of getting through the levels even with the game becoming more of a metrodvania then the traditional sidescrolling platformer.

As you can you see the Sonic team is clearly unable to identify what a Sonic game should be like. Recently they even passed their game to another team hoping they would figure all this out.

In my eyes, Sonic is done. He's pass the time where he even matters anymore. Even Mario who has been wildly successful is experiencing slow death of becoming irrelevant in the newer generation of gamers. This problem has been noted even by Miyamoto himself that it has become increasing harder to draw people back into Mario. The newer generation of gamers are problem more akin to games like Pokemon, FPS shooters, Master Chef and zombles.
